We’re very excited to announce that our new single, “Cartoon Graveyard” has been confirmed for release on 10th December, which neatly coincides with our December tour. We’ve recorded a brand new track for the B-side, called “Lighthouse” and both songs will be available for download from our usual digital sites.

We are very happy to display, for your viewing pleasure, our latest cinematographical masterpiece! Cartoon Graveyard will be released as a single and will include an un-released track as the B-side.
We know that lots of you downloaded the new single, Cartoon Graveyard, hoping to have the new radio edit as played by Dermot O’Leary and Alex Lester amongst others on Radio 2 land in your digital music libraries. Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond our control you would have received the album edit of the track by mistake.
If you still want your own digital copy of the radio edit of Cartoon Graveyard here’s what you need to do. Email your proof of purchase to itbites@insideout.de and we’ll mail you back a code to download a free copy of the radio version of the song. Sorry for the inconvenience but we hope that this will make up for it.

Following on from the highly-acclaimed Tall Ships, It Bites return with their first concept album in a career that spans 25 years.
Inspired by the discovery of an old family photograph, Map of the Past is a highly personal journey that explores love, passion, jealousy, anger, remorse and loss through the eyes of a previous generation against the backdrop of Britain as it enters a new century and one of the most defining periods of its history.
Written by John Mitchell and John Beck over the course of 2011, it was recorded at Outhouse Studios in Reading and features Bob Dalton on drums and Lee Pomeroy on bass.
Map of the Past was released on 26 March 2012.
