I didn't see any issue at all with no encore; yer mans voice was totally gubbed ( what other crowd could possibly put in such a "help out" vocal performance???).
My only dissapointment was no "Turn Me Loose". Probably too high a key for state of voice.
Anyway, a good night & I have no voice now too.

I thought it was a great gig, fantastic mix of old and new! "Let us all go" was superb, John's voice was immense, and there was such a positive vibe onstage, all good!!
I last saw the band at the Islington Academy in September and funnily enough there was no encore then too also because of a venue curfew! With sincerest respect to support acts (and last night the support were impressive!), I would rather It Bites started earlier with no support so we get a longer set!! |

I kinda got the feeling the guys did come on a bit earlier than planned, possibly to cram in as much as they could, given the (frankly ridiculous) restriction. I may well be wrong. This is not unusual. |

Well i have to say i was left short changed at this gig no encore and i do think the band did no about the 10:00 pm curfew. Glasgow always give It Bites a great response and the crowd got right behind they singing to help John out .Drop the support act next time and do a full gig.
The set was superb lads thank you but come on in the last tour you did not play Glasgow then you do but just walk off with no encore
please sort it for next time
very disappointed...... |

Excellent stuff as usual last nite, standouts were TWTSTB and SOTB. Sadly no Turn me loose or When I fall but was a minor blemish on an excellent gig. Thanx to the 2 bods at the front that let Mrs O in fer a better view (she's only ickle). Oh yeah, we can do without the fuds booing when the guys didn't come again, smart move that a**holes obviously not true IB fans. Extra thanks to the drunken t*t who squeezed between me and Mrs O at the end with the following "Ho there mate how aboot a go on the drums eh, gees a tune man?" classic Glasweeeeegan pish! I did come away with 2 fabby new t-shirts and the KINO "cutting room floor" cd (soon to be ipod-ified), next gig can't come soon enough!!! _________________ It bites,it bites yay-yay-yay,i listen to them ev-ree-day! |

That all aside and no fault of IB, I didn’t like the venue. The stage was a cut out hole in the wall only 6 inches above the audience so it was very difficult to see the guitars, keyboards, etc. 90 mins of facial expressions.. It was very obvious that it was a cinema foyer and with so many small coffee tables about you needed your shin guards on. It was like being at a gig in an IKEA showroom.
Incidently ABC1 upstairs is an excellent venue. | totally agree blee, strange little venue. When me and J came in we headed to the sort of raised up bit and stood in the faraway corner. When J said she couldn't see very well i said we'd move once the support bods had finished.........cue Ryo tripping over small coffee table/death trap furniture with hillarious "FAAAAAAKKKKKKKK SAKE" as i near staggred into a group of lasses standing nearby, daft sod i is _________________ It bites,it bites yay-yay-yay,i listen to them ev-ree-day! |

That happened when the guys played Nottingham last year which really did my head in, especially being ushered out but the flouresent jacket brigade rather sharpishly. Again it was for the same reasons of letting the Jagermeister kids in. Damn their eyes. _________________ watch him - he's a weirdo and hard enough to roller skate on |

Same with Islington. How times change; I remember the times when you went to a gig and that would be the one thing the venue was dedicated to for the evening. I like the phrase "Jagermeister Kids" - very apt, and damn their eyes indeed. _________________ Innit. |

>>> I kinda got the feeling the guys did come on a bit earlier than planned, possibly to cram in as much as they could, given the (frankly ridiculous) restriction. I may well be wrong
we did indeed get the band on as soon as we could to maximize the on stage time
... we thought we would be OK and I had retuned JMs guitar in readyness for This Is Scotland...
however we would not have had the time to finish the song... we thought we did have the time cos we did Judas before the encore.... if we had known we'd have done it as the encore...
but well... the band were pissed off a little and so didn't come out and explain.... JM did ask me to do it but I didn't fancy getting bottled off LOL!
it was a great gig and Scotland has always been good so I am sure they will be back... hopefully not on a Sunday !
BTW they didn't play When I Fall either so we could have time to do the encore...
if anything is at fault then its the fact the band need to double clarify the set time before booking the gigs... or at least so we don't get the suprise at the zero hour.
BTW the support band was great (you should record at JMs studio) and thanks for the lend of the Sustain peddle... JB eats them pretty quickly!
